Diane Edith Cowdrey, age 79, resident of Cooperstown, North Dakota after complications from chemotherapy entered eternal rest Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota.
Diane was born on August 28, 1942 in Bismarck, North Dakota the daughter of Edith and Hartvig (Bo) Hildre. She attended school in Cooperstown, graduating from Cooperstown High School in 1960. Diane attended colleges in Missouri and North Dakota, including the University of North Dakota. On September 1, 1966, she married Gary Cowdrey in Santa Monica, California. They both moved to Cooperstown, North Dakota in 1967. Diane worked for the Griggs County Library, the City of Cooperstown and the Griggs County Hospital. She was a Griggs County Commissioner and served on several boards including the hospital, Trinity Lutheran Church Council, GSEZ, Cooperstown Development Fund and the library board of directors. She was a member of PEO Chapter W.
Diane is survived by her son, Corey (Jennifer Bontjes) Cowdrey, grandsons Hunter and Chase Cowdrey and grand stepdaughter Ashley Farris.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, brother and one granddaughter.

Gary W. Cowdrey Obituary¶
Gary W. Cowdrey, age 78, resident of Cooperstown, ND passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
Gary was born September 17, 1939 in Cooperstown, ND the son of Irene (Johnson) Skjelset and Harold Cowdrey. He attended school in Cooperstown, graduating from Cooperstown High School. Gary joined the United States Air Force in September of 1958 and served 3 years. On September 1, 1966 he married Diane Hildre in Santa Monica, CA. Gary’s work career was predominantly in sales working for several different companies and traveling to many cities throughout the United States. Gary was involved with the Cooperstown Cemetery, Griggs County Museum, golf club and in earlier years the Eagle Scout program and Cooperstown City Council.
Gary is survived by his wife, Diane (Hildre) Cowdrey of Cooperstown, ND; one son, Corey Cowdrey (wife Jennifer Farris) of Fargo, ND; grandsons, Hunter and Chase; and one step granddaughter, Ashley Farris. He is also survived by two brothers, Bill (Cathy) Cowdrey and Jim Cowdrey; and his aunt, Rachel Hendrixson.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather, brother, and one granddaughter.
